Biography

Gezim Myshketa Baritone born in Albania in 1982, graduated with the maximum of vote at the Arrigo Boito Music Conservatory in Parma (Italy) under the guidance of Giuliano Ciannella and Lelio Capilupi. He made his debut as Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro under the baton of Antonello Allemandi. In 2006, he won the As.Li.Co. Competition, after which he made his debut as Leporello in Don Giovanni on a tour in Italy and at the Ope'ra de Massy. He then won the "Francesco Paolo Tosti" Chamber Music International Competition in Ortona (Italy). He performed, among numerous other productions: Orphe'e et Eurydice (Amore - La Guida) and L'Elisir d'Amore at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and more recently at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome under Bruno Campanella; Le Villi and Arrighetto at the Teatro Coccia in Novara; Iris, Madama Butterfly, Trouble in Tahiti and Maria Stuarda at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste; Die Lustige Witwe (Danilo) at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa; Carmen at the Sferisterio Opera Festival in Macerata; Le Nozze di Figaro (Conte d'Almaviva) and Don Giovanni in Palm Beach; Giulio Cesare in Egitto in Bilbao; Zaira in Montpellier; Rodelinda (Garibaldo) at the Valle d'Itria Festival; and Simon Boccanegra at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. He collaborated with such renowned conductors as Bruno Aprea, Philippe Auguin, Fre'de'ric Chaslin, Diego Fasolis, Will Humburg, Daniel Oren and Nello Santi; and such directors as Robert Carsen, Giancarlo del Monaco, Dante Ferretti, Pierluigi Pizzi and Graham Vick. Mr. Myshketa sang in the past seasons Maria Stuarda with the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini in Piacenza and Modena; Semiramide (Oroe) in Montpellier; Die Lustige Witve (Danilo) at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona; Le Convenienze e inconvenienze teatrali (Biscroma) and I Pazzi per Progetto (Venanzio) in Zurich; Cle'opatre at the Salzburg Festival; I Puritani and Le Villi at the Slovak National Opera in Bratislav;Carmen (Escamillo) in Novara and at the Sferisterio Opera Festival in Macerata; La Gazza Ladra in Verona; Gianni Schicchi at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste and in Pordenone; La Battaglia di Legnano (Rolando) at the Teatro Regio for the Festival Verdi in Parma; L'Elisir d'Amore in Massy and at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona; Il Barbiere di Siviglia in Treviso and Ferrara; I Puritani in Bratislava; Ali Pascha von Janina in Tirana; Don Carlo in Toulouse; Turandot in Cagliari; Il Viaggio a Reims at the Rossini Festival in Bad Wildbad; and recital in Rome and Berlin. Gezim Myshketa has recently gained great success singing Lord Enrico Ashton inLucia di Lammermoor in Marseille and as Lord Guglielmo Cecil in Maria Stuarda at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona i. Mr Myshketa was Don Giovanni (title role) in a new production by Graham Vick for the AsLiCo circuit and on tour also in Jesi, Fermo and Bolzano; Gianni Schicchi in Tirana and he made his debut as Germont in La Traviata in Stuttgart; at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Berlin he was Escamillo in Carmen; La Traviata in Hamburg; Turandot in Toulouse. After his successful debut as Ford in Falstaff at the Staatsoper in Stuttgart, Mr. Myshketa started a prolific collaboration with this opera house, where recently sang Giorgio Germont in La Traviata and where he will sing Falstaff, La Bohe'me, Carmen, Faust, Le Nozze di Figaro, Un Ballo in Maschera and I Puritani. Other future plans include: Simon Boccanegra (Paolo Albiani) in Antwerp; La Traviata a Leipzig; Carmen in St. Gallen, La Forza del Destino Verona , Attila Bologna. September 2015
